Sindh Declares Public Holiday on May 1 for Labour Day
However, essential services will remain functional and exempt from the holiday.
KARACHI (Web Desk): The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on May 1 (Friday) in connection with International Labour Day.
According to an official notification, the holiday will apply to all government offices, as well as autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils operating under the provincial administration. However, essential services will remain functional and exempt from the holiday.

The provincial government further confirmed that all educational institutions across Sindh, including schools, colleges, and universities, will also remain closed on the occasion.
Labour Day is observed globally to recognize the contributions and rights of workers, and is marked in Pakistan with official holidays and related events.
