Restrictions on Gatherings to Ensure Public Safety and Order

In light of recent security threats, the Punjab government has implemented Section 144 in five districts for a period of three days.
The districts impacted include Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, and Kot Addu.
Starting Saturday, October 12, and continuing through Monday, October 14, Section 144 will restrict all political gatherings, rallies, protests, and similar activities in these areas. This measure was taken upon the request of the local district administrations to safeguard public safety and maintain law and order.
The Punjab Home Department issued a notification detailing these restrictions, with authorities focusing on protecting public property and ensuring peace during this time.
