PTI Demands Judicial Action on Letter by Islamabad High Court Judges

Barrister Gohar stated that one judge mentioned in the letter that they were unaware of the whereabouts of their children.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded judicial action regarding the letter written by six judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to the Supreme Judicial Council.
According to reports from private TV channels, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the judges of the Islamabad High Court were made uncomfortable due to interference in the letter. He mentioned that the sole purpose of pressuring the six judges of the High Court was outlined in the letter.
Furthermore, he elaborated that the letter highlighted interference in political cases, and after its issuance, the cases against Imran Khan ceased. Thereafter, no significance remained for the cases against Imran Khan post the issuance of the letter.
Barrister Gohar stated that one judge mentioned in the letter that they were unaware of the whereabouts of their children, while another judge mentioned that their son’s marriage was postponed.

He demanded protection for the judges who wrote the letter and their families, emphasizing that the Supreme Court should conduct an open court hearing on this matter. He warned that if action is not taken, the public’s confidence in the judiciary will be shaken.
He reiterated that the entire nation stands with the judiciary, and every judge is important and respected. He urged lawyers to unite for the independence of the judiciary.
