Naval Chief calls for joint operations to safeguard maritime interests

He highlighted the PAF’s performance during Marka-e-Haq (May 2025).

Graduation Ceremony Held at PAF Academy Asghar Khan, Risalpur

RISALPUR (Web Desk): The graduation ceremony of multiple courses was held at the Pakistan Air Force Academy Asghar Khan, marking the passing out of cadets from various training programs.

The ceremony included graduates from the 152nd General Duty (Pilot) course, 98th Engineering course, 109th Air Defence (Alpha & Bravo), 28th Admin & Special Duties (Alpha & Bravo), 11th Logistics (Alpha), and 135th Combat Support courses.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf graced the occasion as the chief guest. Upon arrival, he was received by Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan, Air Officer Commanding of the academy. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu was also present at the event.

Addressing the graduating cadets, Admiral Naveed Ashraf congratulated them on completing rigorous training and praised the academy for producing officers of high discipline, professionalism, and character. He expressed confidence that the newly commissioned officers would uphold the Pakistan Air Force’s legacy of excellence under its motto “Second to None.”

He highlighted the PAF’s performance during Marka-e-Haq (May 2025), attributing success to visionary leadership, modernization, and integration of advanced technologies. He also underscored the force’s growing capabilities in multi-domain operations, including electronic warfare, cyber, and space domains.

The Naval Chief emphasized joint operations among the armed forces and reiterated that the Pakistan Navy, alongside sister services, continues to enhance its operational readiness to safeguard national maritime interests.

A total of 113 aviation cadets graduated on the occasion. Trophies were awarded to outstanding cadets for academic and professional excellence, including the Chief of the Defence Forces Trophy and Chief of the Air Staff trophies for top performers in various disciplines.

The ceremony concluded with a flypast featuring JF-17 Thunder and F-16 aircraft, followed by an aerobatic display by the Sherdils formation team, showcasing precision, discipline, and operational excellence.
