PSL 10: Lahore Qalandars Thrash Quetta Gladiators by 79 Runs
Quetta Collapse Chasing 220, Bowled Out for 140
RAWALPINDI: In the fourth match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars bounced back in style, defeating Quetta Gladiators by a commanding margin of 79 runs in Rawalpindi.
After winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators opted to field first. Lahore Qalandars took full advantage and posted a formidable total of 219 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Opener Fakhar Zaman led the charge with a brilliant 67-run knock, smashing 3 sixes and 7 fours. Sam Billings played a blistering unbeaten innings, scoring a quick-fire half-century off just 19 balls, which included 4 sixes and 4 boundaries. Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell also chipped in with 37 runs each.
For Quetta, Akeal Hosein and Abrar Ahmed took two wickets apiece, while Faheem Ashraf and Usman Tariq claimed one wicket each.
Chasing a challenging target of 220, Quetta Gladiators fell short, getting bowled out for 140 runs in the 17th over. Rilee Rossouw was the top scorer with 44 runs, while Kusal Mendis added 28. Faheem Ashraf contributed 21, but the rest of the batting lineup crumbled under pressure.

For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi, Asif Afridi, and Sikandar Raza took two wickets each, while Haris Rauf picked up one.
It’s a strong comeback for Lahore, who suffered an 8-wicket defeat against defending champions Islamabad United in the opening match. Quetta, on the other hand, had come into the match with momentum after their 80-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi the previous day.
