Pralhad Joshi Gets Additional Education Ministry Charge After Dharmendra Pradhan Resignation

NEW DELHI: (News Desk) –  Indian Union Minister for Food Pralhad Joshi has taken additional charge of the Ministry of Education following the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

According to Indian media reports, the President’s office formally accepted Pradhan’s resignation and approved the appointment of Joshi as the new Education Minister.

After assuming the responsibility, Joshi said he accepted the new role with humility and a strong sense of duty. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the government’s achievements over the past 12 years.

Joshi also acknowledged Dharmendra Pradhan’s contribution to the education sector, particularly his efforts in implementing the National Education Policy and advancing reforms within India’s education system.

The appointment comes after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned amid ongoing protests over examination paper leak allegations, which had continued for more than a month.
