India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns Amid Nationwide Student Protests

NEW DELHI: (News Desk) – In a major political development, India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on Saturday following weeks of nationwide student-led protests over alleged examination paper leaks and irregularities in the country’s education system.

Pradhan announced his resignation in a statement, saying the decision was taken to ensure that students’ future is not affected and to prevent the ongoing unrest from being exploited by “anti-national forces.” He also stressed that the interests of millions of students should remain the government’s top priority.

The protests, which began over alleged leaks in key entrance examinations, gradually expanded into a broader movement demanding education reforms, accountability, and action against corruption.
