PM Sharif Confirms Retaliatory Action, Praises Military’s Response to Indian Aggression
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached out to key political leaders on Saturday to discuss the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India following a series of hostile actions by New Delhi. In a series of phone calls, the Prime Minister briefed figures including Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, BAP leader Khalid Hussain Magsi, and PML-Q’s Chaudhry Salik Hussain. Sharif outlined Pakistan’s measured yet firm response to India’s aggression, emphasizing the coordinated retaliation of Pakistan’s armed forces following India’s missile and drone strikes that targeted locations such as the Noor Khan Airbase.
Prime Minister Sharif confirmed that Pakistan’s retaliatory action, carried out under Operation Bunyanun Marsoos, specifically targeted Indian military installations involved in the attacks. He declared that Pakistan had delivered a decisive and resounding reply, avenging the loss of innocent lives. Sharif praised the military’s valor and professionalism and reassured the nation of the government’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty. The country’s political leaders expressed unanimous support for the armed forces, commending their tactical expertise and promising full solidarity with the government during this critical time. Sharif thanked the leaders for their unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of national unity in the face of external threats.
