Pakistan’s Role in US Iran Peace Deal Driven by Regional Stability
How Pakistan Helped Broker the US Iran Peace Deal
Islmabad – (Web Desk) – Pakistan played a quiet but powerful role in the US Iran peace deal. Senior security officials confirmed that the country’s leadership worked behind the scenes to stop a major war from breaking out in the region.
Field Marshal Asim Munir was at the centre of these efforts. Officials credited his diplomacy, sharp thinking, and careful approach for helping bring key parties to the table. One official described it as a war “won without actually being fought.”
Pakistan made clear that its goal was broader regional peace — not narrow political gains. The country acted as a responsible mediator, choosing not to reveal the details of private talks to avoid unnecessary speculation.
Saudi Arabia and other Muslim-majority countries also played a key supporting role. Their patience and restrained leadership helped prevent the conflict from pulling Muslim nations against each other.
On the Indus Waters Treaty, officials said Pakistan has pursued a strong legal and diplomatic response to Indian violations. They added that all necessary steps will be taken to protect Pakistan’s water rights.
Officials also alleged that India is trying to stir unrest in Azad Kashmir to hide its own failures in held Kashmir. They stressed that the twelve reserved seats in the AJK Assembly are protected under the Constitution and tied to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
