The 21-year-old all-rounder will compete with Marco Jansen and Shai Hope after starring in Pakistan’s tri-series triumph.
Pakistan – (Staff Reporter/Web Desl) – Pakistan’s Arafat Minhas has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for October 2026. The young all-rounder earned the nod after a brilliant ODI tri-series, which Pakistan won against England and Sri Lanka.
Minhas is just 21 years old. He was named Player of the Series after a strong run with both bat and ball.
He scored 149 runs in five innings at an average of 29.80. His strike rate was 119.20. He also took nine wickets at an economy rate of 5.13.
His best game came against England. He hit 59 runs and took six wickets for 40 runs. These are the second-best ODI bowling figures by a Pakistan bowler at home.
He also shone in the final against Sri Lanka in Lahore. Chasing 326, he smashed 61 off just 31 balls and helped Pakistan win the title.
He now faces two tough rivals. South Africa’s Marco Jansen scored 198 runs and took 13 wickets in three Tests against Australia. South Africa won that series 2-1.
West Indies captain Shai Hope also made the list. He scored three unbeaten centuries against India, including 162 in the third ODI in New Chandigarh.
In the women’s category, India’s Deepti Sharma, Australia’s Annabel Sutherland and Bangladesh’s Sobhana Mostary have been nominated.
