Pakistan Warns Iran Over Risks to Saudi Security

Ishaq Dar Highlights Pakistan Role in Iran Saudi De-escalation Efforts

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that Pakistan conveyed to Iran that any escalation affecting Saudi Arabia would also put Pakistani lives at risk, highlighting Islamabad’s concerns over regional stability.

Speaking at an international conference on the message of Islam, Dar said Pakistan actively worked to de-escalate tensions, particularly during recent hostilities involving Iran. He noted that while Israel had carried out strikes on Iran, the subsequent response risked impacting other countries in the Muslim world.

Dar emphasized that Pakistan engaged diplomatically to prevent further escalation and urged restraint, making it clear that Saudi Arabia holds strategic importance for Pakistan and must remain secure. He described the defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as a significant pillar of their bilateral relationship.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s foreign policy stance, Dar said the country seeks strong and balanced relations with all Muslim nations while prioritizing the broader interests of the Muslim Ummah.
