Bangladesh Cricket Board Opens Stadium Gates for Young Fans

Students from schools and educational institutions will be eligible for free access

DHAKA (Web Desk):  The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced free entry for students and cricket academy trainees during the upcoming home Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team, aiming to inspire young audiences to experience the traditional format of the game from stadium stands and galleries.

According to the board, the initiative has been introduced to promote Test cricket among youth and strengthen engagement with the longest and most prestigious format of the sport. Students from schools and educational institutions will be eligible for free access, provided they wear official uniforms and carry valid identification cards to enter designated seating areas.

The BCB further confirmed that the offer also extends to trainees under the age of 15 enrolled in private cricket academies. These participants must appear in their official academy kits to qualify for complimentary entry into the stadium.

In a formal statement, the board said the initiative is designed to give young cricket enthusiasts a unique opportunity to witness international Test cricket live, describing it as an effort to deepen appreciation for the game’s traditional format.

The two-match series forms part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27. The first Test will be played at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from May 8 to 12, while the second Test is scheduled at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from May 16 to 20.
