RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Pakistan and its civil-military leadership have emerged as one of the strongest advocates of regional peace and stability, highlighting the country’s expanding diplomatic and strategic role in international affairs.
Addressing a major press conference in Rawalpindi, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations said Pakistan’s influence in regional diplomacy has grown significantly, particularly in efforts aimed at easing tensions and supporting ceasefire initiatives between the United States and Iran.
He stated that Pakistan played a facilitating role in diplomatic engagement among major international stakeholders by helping maintain communication channels and encouraging dialogue during periods of heightened tension.
According to the ISPR chief, Pakistan’s evolving role reflects its emergence as a constructive and stabilizing force in the region, capable of bridging gaps between opposing sides during sensitive geopolitical situations.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said Pakistan’s image as a promoter of regional security has strengthened despite repeated international attempts to portray the country negatively.
He noted that narratives linking Pakistan with terrorism have repeatedly been challenged and, according to him, have failed to gain broader global acceptance.
The DG ISPR added that Pakistan has improved its international standing through consistent diplomacy, transparency and active engagement with the global community, reinforcing its reputation as a responsible regional actor.
Officials also reiterated that Pakistan’s leadership remains committed to promoting peace, dialogue and stability while continuing to expand its diplomatic role in resolving complex international disputes.
