Pakistan Customs Seizes Marijuana Worth Rs. 42 Million at Karachi Airport

The marijuana was deceitfully packed inside a box to avoid detection.

Karachi – Pakistan Customs has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt at Karachi Airport, intercepting 2.26 kilograms of marijuana with an estimated market value of Rs. 42 million.

Officials from the Collectorate of Customs (Airports), Karachi, Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU), discovered the consignment during routine scrutiny at the Immediate Clearance Group (ICG). The parcel, arriving from the United States and falsely declared as containing “documents,” was found to be concealing the narcotics.

The marijuana was deceitfully packed inside a box to avoid detection. Customs authorities said the timely seizure prevented the drugs from entering Pakistan’s domestic market. Legal proceedings have been initiated under relevant laws.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reaffirmed its commitment to combating smuggling through all channels, including international mail and cargo, emphasizing efforts to protect society and uphold the rule of law.
