Azan Owais Impresses With Debut Century Against Bangladesh In Dhaka

DHAKA: (Web Desk) – Pakistan national cricket team were bowled out for 386 runs on the third day of the Dhaka Test against Bangladesh national cricket team, conceding a 27-run first-innings deficit after Bangladesh posted 413 runs earlier in the match.

Pakistan resumed their innings at 179 for 1, with debutant Azan Owais unbeaten on 84 and Abdullah Fazal on 37. Azan Owais went on to score an impressive century in his debut Test, making 103 runs off 153 balls with 14 boundaries before being dismissed in the opening session.

The young batter became the 14th Pakistani player to score a century in his maiden Test appearance. Abdullah Fazal also impressed with a valuable 60-run knock in his debut match.

Pakistan then suffered a middle-order collapse as captain Shan Masood departed for 9, followed by Saud Shakeel, who was dismissed for a duck in the next over.

Later in the innings, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan attempted to stabilize the innings with fighting knocks of 58 and 59 respectively, but Pakistan eventually lost all wickets for 386.

For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz starred with the ball, claiming five wickets, while Taijul Islam and Taskin Ahmed picked up two wickets each.

Earlier, Bangladesh were dismissed for 413 runs in the first innings, with Najmul Hossain Shanto scoring 101, Mominul Haque contributing 91 and Mushfiqur Rahim adding 71 runs.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas took five wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three scalps. Noman Ali and Hasan Ali took one wicket each.
