ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – In a significant move ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has announced a temporary pause in the ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil Haq against terrorist networks and their support infrastructure in Afghanistan. The decision follows both Pakistan’s own initiative and requests from allied Islamic countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Türkiye.
The pause will be in effect from midnight on 18/19 March 2026 until midnight on 23/24 March 2026, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to goodwill and Islamic traditions. Authorities emphasized that any cross-border attack, drone strike, or terrorist incident inside Pakistan would trigger an immediate resumption of the operation with full force.
