No Israeli Ground Move Into Beirut, Hezbollah to Cease Fire, Trump

US President Claims Progress in Lebanon Tensions

WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Israel would not deploy troops to Beirut following a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid heightened tensions in Lebanon.

In a statement posted on his social media platform, Trump described his discussion with Netanyahu as “very productive” and said any Israeli forces previously heading toward Beirut had already been ordered to turn back.

According to Trump, the move was part of efforts to prevent further escalation and maintain stability in the region.

The US president also claimed that he had communicated through senior representatives with Hezbollah and that the group had agreed to cease all shooting activities.

“I had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel, and there will be no troops going to Beirut, and any troops that are on their way have already been turned back,” Trump wrote.

He further stated that discussions with Hezbollah representatives had produced positive results, adding that all armed exchanges would stop.

The statements come amid growing international concern over escalating hostilities along the Israel-Lebanon front and diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a wider regional conflict.
