NDMA Predicts Increased Monsoon Activity as New Weather System Approaches Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast a significant increase in monsoon rainfall across Pakistan in the coming days, with another weather system expected to enter the country on July 12.

NDMA technical expert Dr. Tayyab told 24 News that a low-pressure system was moving from India’s Madhya Pradesh toward Pakistan, while moisture from the Arabian Sea had already reached the country.

He said a western weather system was also advancing toward Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, further intensifying monsoon activity in the region.

According to Dr. Tayyab, the current weather system is expected to remain at its peak on July 7 and 8, while rainfall is likely to continue in northern parts of the country on July 9 and 10.
