Murree School Van Accident: Van Falls Into Ravine, 11 Injured

Murree – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – A Murree School Van Accident on Tuesday left 11 people injured, and most of them are schoolchildren. The van fell into a ravine on Angoori Road and then caught fire, rescue officials said.

The incident took place near Lower Mohra Barahotra in Murree. Rescue officials said the van went out of control and slipped off the road. It then dropped down into the ravine.

After the fall, the vehicle caught fire. Rescue officials later shared the details of the incident with the media.

The van was carrying children from private and government schools. Students from different schools were traveling together in the same vehicle when the accident happened.

All the injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital. There, they received medical care.

District Police Officer (DPO) Murree Raza Tanveer also visited the hospital. He asked about the condition of the injured and checked on their treatment.

The DPO said eight of the injured children are in stable condition. This is a relief for their families.

However, three children were referred for further treatment. They are Arham, Hasan Talib and Ayesha. A referral means a patient is sent to another hospital for more advanced care.
