Riphah University and ECO Cultural Wing Advance Regional Academic Connectivity

Islamabad – (Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – The President of the ECO Cultural Wing, Ambassador Muhammad Hassan, visited Riphah International University (RIU) during his trip to Pakistan. He called on the Chancellor of RIU, Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, for a warm and useful meeting.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional group of member states that work together on shared goals. Its cultural wing helps people from these countries connect through education, art and ideas.

The main topic of the meeting was a new event planned for Pakistan. RIU and ECO will host the Media Literacy and Cultural Seminar together. Both sides talked about how to make the seminar a success.

They also spoke about new ways to grow academic and cultural links. The goal is to help people across ECO member states know each other better. Such contact between people builds trust and understanding.

Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan thanked Ambassador Muhammad Hassan for bringing this important effort to Pakistan. He said the university values the chance to work with the ECO Cultural Wing.

The Chancellor also promised that Riphah International University will keep working for lasting academic and cultural cooperation in the ECO region. He said the university wants to stay a strong partner in this journey.

He explained that universities can play a big role in bringing people together. According to him, RIU wants to build platforms where teachers, cultural leaders and regional institutions can sit together.

Such platforms, he said, help people talk openly, share knowledge and build stronger bonds. These bonds can help the people of ECO member states move forward together.

As a sign of friendship and shared purpose, the Chancellor gave Ambassador Muhammad Hassan a commemorative shield. The gesture ended a friendly and productive meeting.

Several senior members of the university team were also present. They included Brigadier (Retd.) Syed Mujtaba Tirmizi, Director International Business Development and Global Connectivity, and Mr. Razam Muhammad Khan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration).

Mr. Noman Mansoor from the International Office and Student Affairs also attended. So did Mr. Yahya Khan, Senior Manager Coordination and Strategies.

The visit shows how education and culture can bring nations closer. With the ECO Cultural Wing and RIU working side by side, the coming seminar is expected to open new doors for talks and learning.
