Muhammad Nawaz Drug Test — PCB Takes Action After ICC Notice
How the Muhammad Nawaz Drug Test Shook Pakistan Cricket and Ended His Surrey Deal
PCB – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The Muhammad Nawaz drug test result has sent shockwaves through Pakistan cricket. The 32-year-old all-rounder has tested positive for recreational drug use. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now under pressure to act fast.
The Muhammad Nawaz drug test case goes back to the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. Nawaz played in all seven of Pakistan’s matches during that tournament. Samples were collected at the event. Those samples came back positive for recreational drug use.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) took notice first. The ICC then formally informed the PCB about the Muhammad Nawaz drug test findings. The PCB quickly confirmed the matter and launched its due process.
A PCB spokesperson made a statement. “The ICC has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board about this matter. The PCB has begun the due process. The results will be communicated to the ICC today,” the spokesperson said.
The Muhammad Nawaz drug test result has also cost him his county cricket deal. He will no longer play for Surrey in England’s T20 Blast. That is a big blow to his career outside Pakistan.
Back home, Nawaz is currently playing for Multan Sultans in PSL 11. He has represented Pakistan in 98 T20 internationals. His future now depends on the outcome of the PCB process.
The Muhammad Nawaz drug test case is developing fast. All eyes are on the PCB’s final decision.
