KP Government Finalizes New Ministers Advisers And Special Assistants Appointments

PESHAWAR: (Web Desk)- Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday approved the summary for the expansion of the provincial cabinet after receiving recommendations from the provincial administration regarding the induction of new ministers, advisers and special assistants.

According to official sources, the oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed cabinet members will take place on Sunday, May 17, at the Governor House. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi will administer the oath to the incoming members of the expanded cabinet.

Earlier, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi finalized a summary carrying 18 names for the cabinet reshuffle and expansion. The move includes the appointment of six provincial ministers, four advisers to the chief minister and eight special assistants. Analysts believe the expansion is aimed at strengthening administrative performance and improving political balance within the provincial setup.

Sources revealed that the names recommended for provincial ministers are Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Muhammad Arif, Tariq Mahmood Aryani and Shafiullah Jan. Shafiullah Jan had previously been serving as Special Assistant for Information and is now expected to receive a full ministerial position.

For the positions of advisers to the chief minister, the proposed names include Pir Musawar Khan, Liaquat Ali Khan, Humayun Khan and Mian Muhammad Umar.

Meanwhile, the individuals likely to be appointed as special assistants are Tariq Saeed, Muhammad Usman, Tufail Anjum, Iftikharullah Jan, Samiullah Khan, Malik Adil Iqbal, Muhammad Khurshid and Muhammad Israr.

Political observers see the induction of these figures as an important step toward ensuring broader regional and political representation within the ruling party and enhancing the effectiveness of the provincial government.
