Monkeypox Cases Rise to Nine in Karachi as Virus Spreads

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – Another case of monkeypox has been reported in the city, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in Karachi to nine, according to hospital sources.

As reported by a private news channel, hospital administration confirmed that the virus was detected in a 39-year-old patient. The individual has been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital for treatment and isolation.

Officials said the patient was brought from Pathan Colony, where he was initially identified as a suspected case. The diagnosis was later confirmed through medical testing.

Health authorities also noted that another case was confirmed just a day earlier, indicating a continued presence of the virus in the city.
