Karachi: Pakistan’s right-arm fast bowler Haris Rauf has successfully regained fitness just in time for the ICC Champions Trophy, set to begin on February 19.
Rauf, who had been sidelined due to a lower chest muscle strain sustained during the opening match of the recently concluded tri-nation tournament against New Zealand, is now fit and ready to play. Sources confirmed that Rauf’s rehabilitation has been effective, with the prescribed rest period playing a key role in his recovery.
The fast bowler is now set to be available for Pakistan’s opening match against New Zealand in Karachi, boosting the team’s pace attack for the crucial fixture.
