Govt Raises Petrol Price by Rs1.20, Cuts Diesel by 17 Paisa
Petrol Reaches Rs393.86 Per Litre as Diesel Price Falls Slightly
According to a statement issued by the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy on Wednesday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised petroleum product prices under the federal government’s pricing mechanism.
Following the adjustment, petrol will cost Rs393.86 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs392.66.
In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced to Rs396.65 per litre from Rs396.82, providing a reduction of 17 paisa per litre.
The Petroleum Division attributed the changes to fluctuations in international market conditions, including Platts prices, premiums and incidental costs.
The new petroleum prices will take effect nationwide on Thursday, October 15.
