FPSC Announces CSS 2025 Exam Final Results

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the results of the CSS 2025 examination, revealing a notably low success rate of just 2.67 percent. Out of 12,792 candidates who appeared in the competitive examination, only 355 were able to clear the written stage.

According to the official announcement, 170 candidates have been recommended for appointment in various occupational groups, including 84 male and 86 female candidates.

Position Holders

As per the results, Asid Rafiq secured the first position, followed by Muhammad Mohsin Khalid in second place, while Tariq Hafeez stood third. Among the top 30 candidates, the majority have been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service and Police Service, whereas no candidate from the top bracket was placed in the Foreign Service.

Regionally, Punjab dominated the top 30 positions with 23 candidates, while Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secured two seats each, and Balochistan had three representatives.

Delay in Announcement

The results were released after a reported delay, as the commission had earlier indicated that the final outcome would be announced in April 2026 due to pending decisions on available vacancies. Earlier reports also suggested that final confirmation would follow the commencement of the 54th Common Training Programme at the Civil Services Academy in Lahore.

The written examination for CSS 2025 was conducted last year, while interviews have already been completed. Earlier, the written result had been reported with a pass rate of 2.77 percent.

Vacancies and Allocation

Officials confirmed that 327 total vacancies will be filled this year, including 191 new posts and 136 carried forward from previous cycles. Of these, 169 seats are on open merit, 35 reserved for women, and 123 for minority candidates.

Province-wise allocation includes 157 seats for Punjab, 43 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 30 for Sindh Rural, 28 for Sindh Urban, and 28 for Balochistan. Additionally, 16 seats have been allocated for former tribal areas, seven for Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and three for Gilgit-Baltistan.

The vacancies span major occupational groups such as the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service, Foreign Service, Inland Revenue Service, and Office Management Group.

Officials further stated that final appointments will be made strictly on merit, candidate preferences, and quota regulations set by the Establishment Division.
