Pakistan Among Fourteen Nations Condemning Somaliland Office in Occupied Jerusalem
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A group of fourteen countries, including Pakistan, strongly denounced the opening of a so-called “Somaliland” diplomatic office in occupied Jerusalem. In a joint declaration released on Sunday, the foreign ministers described the move as illegal and unacceptable, warning that it violates international law and undermines the historical and legal status of occupied Jerusalem.
The joint statement was issued by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye, Indonesia, Djibouti, Somalia, Palestine, Oman, Sudan and Yemen. The ministers stressed that any unilateral actions seeking to legitimize unauthorized arrangements in occupied Jerusalem are completely unacceptable.

The ministers also reaffirmed that East Jerusalem remains occupied Palestinian territory since 1967. They stated that any attempt to alter the city’s legal or historical identity carries no legal standing under international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
In the statement, the countries further expressed full support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. They rejected any unilateral actions that could threaten Somalia’s national unity or violate its sovereign rights.
