FFC Yara Partner to Launch Advanced Crop Nutrition Solutions
FFC and Yara Introduce Innovative Crop Nutrition Products for Pakistani Farmers
ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has entered into a strategic partnership with global agricultural solutions provider Yara International ASA to introduce advanced crop nutrition products aimed at improving agricultural productivity in Pakistan.
The collaboration combines FFC’s decades of experience, nationwide distribution network and agricultural advisory services with Yara’s global expertise in crop nutrition, research and sustainable farming technologies.
Founded in Norway in 1905, Yara International provides crop nutrition and plant growth solutions across more than 140 countries, while FFC has been serving Pakistan’s agricultural sector for nearly five decades.
Under the partnership, the Sona and Yara brands have launched a premium range of specialty and biological plant nutrition products in Pakistan. The portfolio includes five foliar biological solutions — YaraAmplix OptiTrack™, YaraVita Crop Boost™, YaraVita Bortrac™, YaraVita Frutrel™ and YaraVita Solatrel™ — along with the highly soluble calcium fertilizer YaraLiva TropiCote™.
The launch ceremony was held at Sona Tower, FFC Headquarters, Rawalpindi, with senior representatives from both companies in attendance.
Officials from FFC and Yara highlighted that rising population, climate change and environmental challenges are creating growing pressure on agricultural systems and food security. To address these concerns, both companies conducted assessments of Pakistan’s soil conditions, climate factors and crop requirements before introducing the new solutions.
The newly developed products are designed with modern formulations to improve nutrient absorption, enhance crop development and increase fertilizer efficiency, helping farmers achieve better yields and crop quality.
Speaking at the ceremony, FFC Chief Commercial Officer Muhammad Ali Janjua praised the leadership of FFC Managing Director and CEO Jahangir Paracha and Yara CEO Svein Tore Holsether for supporting the partnership.
Janjua said FFC has consistently worked to promote modern agricultural technologies and effective crop nutrition practices to help farmers improve productivity, reduce costs and increase profitability.

He said the company would continue introducing innovative farming technologies and advanced fertilizers, with the newly launched products expected to contribute to improved crop production, higher farmer incomes and enhanced national food security.
The products will be marketed under NexGen Nutrients through FFC’s extensive agricultural advisory and distribution network, allowing farmers across Pakistan to access modern crop nutrition solutions.
Yara Africa and Asia Senior Vice President Alexander Macedo said the partnership developed through discussions between the leadership of both organizations at international fertilizer events. He emphasized Pakistan’s potential to improve agricultural output through science-based nutrition methods and sustainable farming practices.
