Islamabad: Collaboration: Govt of Azad Kashmir & Pak Army . Pakistan Army and the government of Azad Kashmir collaborated for the National Kashmir Workshop’s second day. Major General Muhammad Irfan, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Chinar Division, participated in the workshop and met with the participants. He provided reassurance about arrangements and procedures, acknowledging the role and services of organizers. Brigadier Waqar Ahmed, Commander 5A Brigade was also present.
The GOC emphasized the enduring relationship between Kashmir and Pakistan, highlighting the sacrifices made by Kashmiris for Pakistan. He praised the resilience of civilians living along the Line of Control who bravely face the enemy’s threats. Kashmiri youth showcased their abilities on a global stage. Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir, Dawood Muhammad Barich, stressed the importance of information technology for development and the government’s efforts to create employment opportunities in the private sector.
He mentioned the budget allocation, emphasizing the need for good governance and accountability. He highlighted the potential for development in healthcare and tourism, including the establishment of the School of Tourism in Azad Kashmir. Additionally, Muzaffarabad Cardiac Hospital will soon be linked with Rawalpindi’s RIC. The construction of Hazara Motorway and extension to Mirpur will open new avenues of progress. Good governance is crucial for development, and misuse of authority must be prevented. Azad Kashmir provides subsidies for flour and electricity, maintaining lower rates compared to Pakistan. Azad Kashmir is polio-free, literacy rates are high, and tribal conflicts have been resolved. Social cohesion is strong despite family ties everywhere. International laws are violated by India’s actions in Kashmir, and international support is essential for Kashmiris’ rights. The UN agreements and international treaties are obstacles to India’s ambitions. Collaboration between international Kashmiri diaspora, political leaders, scholars, and intellectuals is vital to counter India’s propaganda. The UN resolutions and international agreements are crucial for Kashmiris, obstructing India’s agenda.
