Barrister Gohar Seeks Family Meeting for Imran Khan Again

PTI Barrister Gohar Renews Demand for Imran Khan Family Meeting Permission

ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has renewed his call for authorities to allow former prime minister Imran Khan to meet his family, saying the continued restrictions were creating unnecessary tensions.

Speaking to reporters in Rawalpindi, Gohar said 37 weeks had passed without a family meeting for the PTI founder. He maintained that facilitating such meetings would help ease concerns rather than intensify them.

Commenting on the party’s decision to stay away from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, Gohar said PTI’s political committee had assessed the local political situation before deciding to boycott the polls.

He added that PTI does not support any narrative directed against the state and remains committed to backing what it considers the legitimate demands of the public.

Gohar also dismissed reports claiming that a forward bloc had emerged within the party, rejecting speculation about internal divisions.

Meanwhile, Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, met members of her family at Adiala Jail.

Her sister-in-law, Mehr-un-Nisa Maneka, and daughter, Mubashra Sheikh, attended the meeting, which was held in the prison’s conference room and lasted around 40 minutes.

According to reports, the discussion primarily focused on Bushra Bibi’s health and overall well-being.
