Army & WAPDA Teams Shine in Pak-China Friendship Cup 3×3 Basketball Championship

Islamabad(Mudassar Iqbal/News Desk)- Pakistan Army basketball team Whites, Army Reds, and WAPDA basketball team Blues secured impressive victories to qualify for the women’s quarterfinal round of the Pak‑China Friendship Cup 3×3 Basketball Championship currently being held at the Liaquat Gymnasium in the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.

The championship is being organized by the Federal Basketball Association with the support of the Pakistan Sports Board.

Women’s Category Matches

In the women’s matches, Army Whites delivered a dominant performance by defeating WAPDA Blues 21–12. Army Reds also secured victory against Islamabad Bulls, winning 14–6.

In other games, WAPDA Black defeated DHA Rebels 18–11, while WAPDA Blues registered a strong win over Fast Phoenix 15–4.

Meanwhile, Lycans C outplayed Thunders C 18–5, and Lycans B beat Thunders B 8–4.

Departmental Category

In the departmental category, the Pakistan Air Force basketball team defeated WAPDA Red 21–15, while Army Red overcame Police 21–13. WAPDA Green also secured a convincing 22–10 win against POF B.

Club Category

In the club category opening-round matches, Pelicans defeated YMCA 21–12, while Raptors Black beat Islamabad Wolves 18–1.

Paces secured a 21–8 victory over Ravens A, and Raptors Red defeated Hunter C 21–13 to progress further in the tournament.
