Quetta Gladiators dominate Hyderabad Kingsmen in PSL clash

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – In Lahore, Quetta Gladiators secured a convincing 40-run victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen during the fourth day of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

After winning the toss, Quetta captain Saud Shakeel opted to bat first. However, the team faced an early setback as Saud departed for just 4 runs, followed by Rilee Rossouw, who was dismissed without scoring.

A strong recovery came through a crucial partnership between Shamil Hussain and Hassan Nawaz. Shamil scored an impressive 54 runs, marking his second half-century of the tournament, while Hassan contributed 53 runs. Their efforts guided Quetta to a competitive total of 174 for 8 in 20 overs.

Chasing 175, Hyderabad struggled to build momentum and managed only 134 for 8. Irfan Khan and Hassan Khan were the top scorers with 33 and 31 runs respectively.

Quetta’s bowling attack proved decisive, with Abrar Ahmed taking 3 wickets and Ahmed Daniyal picking up 2 wickets to seal the win.

Both teams entered the match after losing their opening fixtures. Quetta had previously been defeated by Karachi Kings, while Hyderabad suffered a loss against Lahore Qalandars.
