Amazon Announces $13 Billion Investment in India to Boost AI and Cloud
INDIA – (Web Desk) – Amazon has confirmed a massive amazon $13 billion investment in india to grow its artificial intelligence and cloud services by the year 2030. The announcement came after Amazon CEO Andy Jassy met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
The new $13 billion comes on top of Amazon’s earlier plan to invest over $35 billion in India. This brings the company’s total planned investment to $48 billion between 2026 and 2030.
The money will be used to build and expand data centers in Mumbai and Hyderabad. These centers will support cloud services, AI tools, and tech infrastructure for businesses and government organizations across India.
Amazon says its total investment in India from 2010 to 2030 will cross $88 billion. The company also plans to support 3.8 million jobs, help 15 million small businesses use AI, and bring digital education to 4 million government school students.

Andy Jassy said he was excited about what lies ahead. He shared that Amazon is still in the early stages of what it can build in India.
Prime Minister Modi welcomed the news. He said the investment shows growing global confidence in India and will create more opportunities for young people.

Other tech giants like Google and Indian firm Reliance Industries have also announced big data center projects in the country recently.
