Gas Explosion in Athens Leaves Six People Dead

ROME: (News Desk) – Six people, including four US citizens and one British national, were killed in a gas explosion in Athens, the capital of Greece.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the blast took place at a house in the Plaka district, where four American citizens were staying as tenants.

According to foreign media reports, the British national and his Greek wife were on the second floor of the building when the explosion occurred.

Police said three other people were injured in the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
