CDA, MCI launch digital services for Islamabad citizens
Property tax, water bills now available through PAK App
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) have taken a major step towards the digital transformation of the federal capital by making several public services available through the PAK App.
The initiative aims to make service delivery more convenient, transparent and efficient while reducing the need for citizens, businesses and other stakeholders to visit government offices for routine matters.
As part of the initiative, CDA has introduced digital facilities for property tax and water bill payments, allowing citizens to access online payment options and reducing reliance on conventional counter-based transactions.
The digital platform will gradually provide access to a wider range of CDA and MCI services, including advertising and open-space permissions, parking permits, generator licences, municipal approvals, property tax, water bill payments and other civic services, subject to applicable requirements.
Through the PAK App, citizens can submit applications, upload required documents, track application status and make digital payments where applicable. The system is designed to reduce paperwork, manual procedures and counter-based interactions while saving citizens time and effort.

Applications, approvals, payments and other transactions will be electronically recorded, creating digital records that can facilitate monitoring and improve accountability in service delivery.
The platform will also provide digital grievance redressal facilities, enabling citizens to register and track complaints and service-related issues through available channels.
The CDA and MCI said the initiative forms part of a broader programme to modernise Islamabad’s civic administration through technology, innovation, transparency and improved public facilitation.
The digital transformation is expected to gradually shift civic services from conventional counter-based procedures towards a more accessible digital service delivery model, allowing citizens to access relevant services through their mobile phones.
The initiative is also aimed at strengthening digital documentation of civic transactions and improving efficiency and accountability in public service delivery.
The CDA and MCI said the move would support the broader vision of transforming Islamabad into a smart, modern and citizen-centric capital through digital governance.
