Armed Forces Pay Tribute to Major Aziz Bhatti
ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: (Special Reporter) – Pakistan’s civil and military leadership has paid tribute to Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, on the 61st anniversary of his martyrdom.
In their separate messages, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Major Aziz Bhatti’s supreme sacrifice, describing his courage and devotion to the defence of the motherland as an enduring example for the nation.
President Zardari said Major Aziz Bhatti’s unmatched bravery and sacrifice were a matter of pride for the entire nation and a source of inspiration for younger generations.
He said the nation would continue to honour the sacrifices of its martyrs and pay tribute to their unwavering patriotism, courage and commitment to the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recalled that Major Aziz Bhatti laid down his life while defending the motherland during the 1965 war.
The prime minister said the soil of Pakistan would always bear witness to the courage of its sons, who remain ready to sacrifice their lives for the defence and sovereignty of the country.
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Aamer Raza also paid rich tribute to Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
According to ISPR, the Armed Forces reaffirmed their unwavering resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and security with the same courage, determination and spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed.
