Thundershowers Expected In Northern Pakistan Amid Hot Weather
Upper Punjab And KP Brace For More Rain Through September
ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – Most plains across Pakistan are expected to experience hot and humid weather on Monday, while thunderstorms and rain are likely in several northern and upper regions, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Rain and thundershowers are forecast in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and adjoining hilly areas.
Several parts of upper Punjab, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala and Sialkot, may also receive rainfall. The Met Office has warned that some areas could experience heavy showers.
Weather In Sindh And Balochistan
Most plains of Sindh, including Karachi, are expected to remain hot and humid.
Weather conditions in much of Balochistan are also likely to remain hot, with no significant relief expected from the prevailing temperatures.

- Islamabad: 26°C
- Lahore: 30°C
- Karachi: 27°C
- Peshawar: 29°C
- Quetta: 19°C
- Gilgit: 21°C
- Murree: 16°C
- Muzaffarabad: 22°C
Rain Activity To Continue
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity is expected to continue across upper Punjab and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 31 to September 6.
The forecast spell could also lead to increased water flows in rivers and storm-water drains, raising the possibility of localized flooding in vulnerable areas.
Residents in areas likely to receive heavy rainfall have been advised to remain alert, particularly near rivers, streams and drainage channels.
