Pakistan & Saudi Arabia – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – Pakistan Saudi trade ties are expected to grow stronger after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for closer economic and agricultural cooperation between the two countries. He shared these views during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, who visited the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad on Friday.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz spoke warmly about the long friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He sent his best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The prime minister also mentioned the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. This agreement brings Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye closer together. He said it sends a strong message of peace and unity to the whole region.

PM Shehbaz explained that both nations now need to focus on building stronger trade and investment links. He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a deep bond that should turn into real economic benefits for both sides.
He also expressed happiness over the growing trade in agricultural goods between the two countries. Pakistan has been exporting more farm products to Saudi Arabia in recent times, and this trend is expected to continue.
Both leaders talked about ways to improve farming methods in Pakistan. They discussed using better technology, research, and smarter water management to boost crop production across the country.
To move these plans forward, PM Shehbaz announced that a group of Pakistani agriculture experts will soon travel to Riyadh. This visit aims to build on the discussions and open new doors for cooperation.
