Aisam-ul-Haq Captures Mixed Doubles Title at ITF Masters Championships

PARIS: (Sports Reporter) – Pakistan tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq has won the mixed doubles title at the ITF Masters World Championships, partnering Germany’s Nina Herrmann to a convincing victory in the final.

Aisam-ul-Haq and Herrmann defeated Portugal’s top-seeded duo Fred Gil and Rita Freitas in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-3 to secure the championship title.

The victory earned Aisam a gold medal and added another major achievement to his decorated tennis career.

In the men’s doubles competition, however, Aisam-ul-Haq and fellow Pakistani Aqeel Khan were unable to claim the title. The Pakistani pair lost the final to France’s Jacques Gley and Jean-Baptiste Renault, settling for the silver medal.

Pakistan finished the ITF Masters World Championships with an impressive four-medal haul, comprising one gold, two silver and one bronze.

Aqeel Khan also secured a bronze medal in the 40+ mixed doubles category, partnering Germany’s Elaine Aranas-Roth.

The strong medal tally highlighted Pakistan’s competitive showing at the international masters event, with Aisam and Aqeel playing key roles in the country’s success.
