Candy Royals management later apologized to Shaheen, explaining that the omission was caused by an analyst’s error. Following the clarification, the pacer continued to represent the team and delivered impressive performances, taking seven wickets in six matches.
Sources added that Shaheen Afridi could rejoin Candy Royals if the team qualifies for the play-off stage of the tournament.
