Pakistan Hockey Team Begins World Cup Training Camp
PHF Announces National Hockey Training Camp Ahead of FIH World Cup
ISLAMABAD: (Mudassar Iqbal) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a specialized training camp for probable players of the national senior men’s hockey team as preparations begin for the upcoming FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup.
The camp has been organized on the directives of PHF President Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani following recommendations from the Professional Development Committee and National Selection Committee. The training session will take place at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad, from July 11 to July 26, 2026.
The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is scheduled to be held from August 15 to August 30, 2026, in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Selected players have been instructed to report to the camp coordinator and coaching staff at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, by 5:00 PM on July 11 for the commencement of training activities.

The list of probable players includes athletes from various departments and organizations, featuring experienced campaigners and emerging talent across all key positions, including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers.
The training camp will provide an opportunity to assess players’ fitness, skills, and overall performance before the final squad selection for the prestigious international tournament.
PHF officials expressed confidence that the focused preparation program will help build a competitive national team capable of delivering a strong performance at the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup.
