Forest Fire Murree Today Raises Alarm Over Forest Safety

Forest Fire Murree Today: Residents Fight Flames as Forest Department Fails to Act

Murree – (Web Desk) – A massive forest fire Murree today broke out in the Gazara forest area, burning a large part of the green woodland. The fire spread quickly and caused serious damage to the forest, its trees, and the animals living there.

Local residents rushed to the spot to help control the fire on their own. They said the Forest Department has failed to do its job. Because of their negligence and carelessness, fires like this keep happening again and again in Murree’s forests.

People living near the forest are very angry. They say the Forest Department never takes timely action. By the time any help arrives, the fire has already destroyed hundreds of trees, rare plants, and the birds and animals that live in them.

Residents also warned that these repeated fires are badly damaging the environment. Precious natural resources are being lost every time a fire breaks out. They demanded that the government take strict action against those responsible and set up a proper system to prevent such fires in the future.

This is not the first tragedy to hit Murree recently. On May 11, 2026, at least 10 people were killed and 13 others injured when a tourist van caught fire after falling into a nullah near Khajut on the Islamabad-Murree Expressway. That incident also shocked the whole country.

People are now asking serious questions about the safety and management of Murree. They want the authorities to wake up before more lives and natural resources are lost forever.
