PCB Considers Major Overhaul of National Team Management

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly planning a significant restructuring of the national cricket team’s management, with former captains Younis Khan and Mohammad Hafeez likely to be assigned key roles in the new setup.

According to sources, Younis Khan is being considered for the position of head coach of Pakistan’s Test team. The former batting great is also expected to be included in the national selection committee as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s cricketing framework.

Meanwhile, former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is reportedly under consideration for the role of Director of Cricket International at the PCB. Sources said he may also be given responsibilities within the national selection committee.

The proposed changes could also impact the current coaching staff. Sources indicated that current Test team coach Sarfaraz Ahmed may be removed from his position, although he is likely to continue working with the Pakistan Shaheens setup.

In addition, Test captain Shan Masood could face replacement as part of the anticipated overhaul aimed at improving the team’s performance and long-term development.
