ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A 12-member delegation of senior officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service visited the headquarters of National Database and Registration Authority in Islamabad on May 19, 2026, as part of an official study tour under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative.
The delegation was led by Ms. Salma Siddiqua Mahtab and accompanied by Mr. Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Director General of the Civil Services Academy.
During the visit, the Chairman of NADRA welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed briefing on Pakistan’s national identity management and citizen registration system. Officials also explained the regulatory structure and technological framework supporting NADRA’s digital infrastructure.
The visiting officers showed particular interest in NADRA’s modern citizen service delivery systems, including digital facilities provided to overseas Pakistanis and nationwide identity registration services.

Speaking during the session, the Chairman emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh share common aspirations and can benefit from exchanging experiences, policy innovations, and institutional best practices.
Members of the Bangladeshi delegation appreciated NADRA’s institutional capabilities and expressed interest in strengthening future cooperation and engagement between the two countries in the areas of governance and digital public services.
The visit took place under the thematic component “Policy Innovation” of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor program, which aims to promote knowledge sharing and administrative collaboration between the two neighboring countries.
