Government Schools To Receive Modern English Teaching Support

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – The Government of Punjab has approved a major initiative to strengthen English language education in government schools across the province.

Under the programme, the provincial government has allocated Rs500 million to improve English learning standards and modernize teaching methods in public sector schools.

The implementation of the project has been assigned to Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), which will oversee teacher training, curriculum support and monitoring mechanisms.

As part of the reforms, teachers will receive specialized training aimed at enhancing students’ English speaking and reading abilities. Authorities also plan to introduce modern learning materials and digital teaching models to make classroom instruction more effective and interactive.

The programme will be rolled out in phases in government schools across Punjab, while monitoring and evaluation systems will also be strengthened to ensure better educational outcomes.
