PCB Declines to Share Salary Details with Senate, Cites Security Concerns

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to provide details of salaries and perks of its officials and selection committee to the Senate, citing confidentiality and security concerns, sources said.

According to sources, the PCB has also decided not to disclose the list of individuals accompanying the team for the T20 World Cup, declaring such information sensitive. The board maintained that revealing these details could pose security risks and compromise the safety of players and officials.

The development came after a query by Senator Hidayatullah, to which the Cabinet Division informed the Senate of the PCB’s stance. The board, however, has offered to give an in-camera briefing instead.

Sources added that the PCB emphasized its responsibility to protect the privacy of its players and employees, warning that unnecessary publicity could create security challenges.
