PTI raises concern over inappropriate treatment of ex-PM Imran Khan

PTI Urges Proper Medical Care for Imran Khan in Jail

KP – (Web Desk) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said PTI is deeply concerned about the health of its founder, Imran Khan, who is currently in jail. The party has made every effort to have him treated by doctors at Al Shifa Hospital in Islamabad, alongside his family and personal physician, but this request has not been approved.

Speaking at a press conference at Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, PTI leaders including Afridi, Junaid Akbar, Babar Awan, and Shahid Khattak stressed that their only focus is the well-being of the former Prime Minister. Afridi criticized the current government, saying such treatment of a former leader is unacceptable. He added that PTI senators are being disqualified and party workers restricted from political activities.

Junaid Akbar highlighted that the situation is worrying and questioned why Imran Khan’s sisters are not allowed to see him if his condition is not serious. Babar Awan said delays in treatment have harmed the PTI founder’s health, including his eyesight, and demanded his immediate transfer to Shifa Hospital. Shahid Khattak also voiced serious concerns about the current treatment and urged the courts to act quickly.
