PAF Launches Flood Relief Operation in Gilgit-Baltistan

PAF relief team successfully evacuated 75 stranded individuals from affected areas

Gilgit-Baltistan: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has launched a major flood relief operation in Gilgit-Baltistan, responding swiftly to the humanitarian crisis caused by recent floods. Braving harsh weather conditions and navigating the region’s challenging mountainous terrain, a PAF C-130 aircraft transported 7 tons of critical supplies—including dry rations, daily essentials, and life-saving medicines—from PAF Base Nur Khan to Gilgit.

These essential goods will be distributed to flood-stricken communities in remote valleys in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), ensuring timely assistance to families cut off due to damaged infrastructure and blocked communication lines.

In a parallel rescue mission, the PAF relief team successfully evacuated 75 stranded individuals from affected areas, providing urgent support to those in immediate danger.

The timely intervention by the Pakistan Air Force has brought much-needed relief and renewed hope to those impacted by the floods, reaffirming the military’s steadfast commitment to stand by the nation during times of crisis.
