Punjab Police Promotes 406 Sub-Inspectors to Inspectors Across the Province

Inspector General Punjab Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officers and their families.

LAHORE: In a significant development, Punjab Police has announced the promotion of 406 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspectors across various regions of the province.

According to the official notification, the promotions were granted strictly on the basis of merit and in line with established rules and regulations. The decision was finalized during a two-day meeting of the promotion board, chaired by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhary, which reviewed over 900 cases.

Region-wise Breakdown of Promotions:

  • Lahore: 115 promotions

  • Rawalpindi: 62

  • Gujranwala: 51

  • DG Khan: 49

  • Multan: 32

  • Bahawalpur: 31

  • Faisalabad: 30

  • Sahiwal: 20

  • Sargodha: 9

  • Sheikhupura: 7

Inspector General Punjab Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officers and their families. He also announced that another promotion board meeting is scheduled for September 2025, where over 100 inspectors will be considered for further elevation.

Highlighting the department’s commitment to professional growth, IG Anwar shared that 2,268 sub-inspectors have been promoted to inspectors over the past 2.5 years. He urged the newly promoted officers to uphold fearless law enforcement and deliver selfless service to the people of Pakistan.
