Iran Strikes Back at Israel Following B-2 Bomber Attack on Fordow Facility

The global community continues to monitor the rapidly evolving developments with mounting concern.

Jerusalem/Tehran: Tensions in the Middle East have surged to alarming levels as missile sirens were activated across several Israeli cities following a fresh wave of projectile launches from Iran. Sirens were reported in Nahariya, Gesher Haziv, Hila, Me’ona, and Mi’ilya, as well as in central Israel, signaling a dramatic escalation in the conflict between the two regional powers.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the sirens were triggered by missile launches originating from Iran, marking one of the most direct confrontations in recent years.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had successfully shot down an advanced Israeli Hermes drone over Khorramabad in Iran’s Lorestan Province. The Hermes drone, known for its high-tech surveillance and precision strike capabilities, represents one of the Israeli military’s most advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), making its downing a significant military and symbolic loss.

In a strongly worded statement, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned of “powerful and calculated operations with severe and unpredictable consequences” targeting the United States, accusing Washington of direct aggression and violations of Iranian sovereignty.
